In the Begining

This Blog will be mainly about plants in Pennsylvania both in the wild and in gardens. I am starting the Blog off right with one of my favorite spring ephemeral wildflowers.

We live in Berks County, PA where we garden with both native and foreign plants. My wife Jan and I are active members of the North American Rock Garden Society and the Muhlenberg Botanic Club of Lancaster, PA.

This picture of Erythronium americanum was taken at the Lancaster County Conservancy's Fern Cliff Preserve.

This flower is so lovely. I’m looking forward to read your other post about plants in Pennsylvania. My wife and I really like gardening and I would like to know more about different kind of plants.

My wife and I ever been to Pennsylvania and we are very impressed with nature and flowers in Pennsylvania. Wildflowers widely grown in Pennsylvania, but these flowers are very beautiful and colorful. And we loved it. Incidentally, my wives really like gardening and I would like to know more about different kind of plants in your site.
