Some big old trees in BC

We had a great vacation in British Columbia a few weeks ago when we were in Vancouver, BC for the Western Winter Study Weekend hosted by the Alpine Garden Club of BC then visiting friends and xploreing on Vancouver Island!

One of our stops was MacMillan Provincial Park and the Cathedral Grove. along BC Route 4 between Parksville and Port Alberni on our way to Tofino on Clayoquot Sound (usually pronounced /ˈklekwɑt/ or /ˈklækwɑt/) and Pacific Rim National Park. More about that in my next post about Vancouver Island.

Here are some pictures I took of some of the ancient trees in 3 or 4 shots and stitched together as vertical panoramas with HP Photosmart.
